Step by Step ~ Fairy Garden in a Pot

Creating a magical garden can be as simple as sourcing a nice large pot, drainage tray and potting mix from your local hardware....stay tuned this week to see how my garden develops...each day I will add something new ♥

I used a small stump from a fallen tree as my fairy house, that way I can rest my fairy door against it. A brick or rock could also be used or you could even create an earth mound and sprout grass on it and rest the fairy door against it (must try that in my next pot!!). For a magical effect a fairy door could also be propped up from behind with a couple of garden stakes.....what esle is possible? If you have some ideas please share!! Stayed tuned for more developments tomorrow x

I planted a small shrub and a vine to add some living green goodness....keeping in mind the space I was planning to use for the rest of my fairy garden.....started to brainstorm some ideas....a path way....a peaceful outdoor dining area ♥ There are so many possibilites with plants.....visit your local garden store and find the right plants for you :O) and the wee folk ♥

Then I chose a lovely Hubba Bubba Pink fairy door for the fairies in my garden ♥ I rested the fairy door up against the tree stump and positioned it in a way so that I could still have room for my garden path.......and other creations....

And so I started to create a fairy garden path....I marked it out with small fairy river stones and also decorated around the base of the tree stump fairy house ♥ more to come.....

Then I filled in my garden path with lovely lavender pebbles....

Then for further decoration I added some glass garden path pavers....and started to make a plan of what materials/colour I'd use next....mmm what colour?

And then a touch of emerald green....in preparation for the arrival of someone very divine and magical ♥

This morning unicorn visits and frolicks on the emerald green and little miss fairy enjoys the moment with a cup of fairy tea ♥ .....stay tuned to see what else shows up in my little fairy garden pot hee hee ;o)

....and so my fairy garden in a pot continues this week.... a lovely fairy sitting on a mushroom came to stay ♥ I then added a couple of lovely small glow mushrooms (really look fantastic at night after a good day in the sun!)...but wait there's more to come xx

Little fairy comes for tea ♥

A close up of the action...

Unicorn looks into the gazing ball....and what does he see?

A few more friends have come to play....2 lady bugs and a baby frog. I also added a small gazing globe on pedestal (looks really pretty when it catches the light!)...and now I'd like to try using some aqua sand...just to see what it looks like.....stay tuned for finished product!! Have a beautiful day xx

A closer view! Now you can see what it's like with coloured sand. As an alternative I could have planted grass seed or mustard seeds in the remaining soil....just an other possibility!!

My completed fairy garden in a pot!!....of course I can always add to or take away items when I need a change and when it needs refreshing I can always add some extra pebbles and sand hee hee!! fun fun fun x

Bright, shiny and colourful...now it just needs a sprinkling of magic dust as a blessing ♥
